Jordan Estate rated “Top 20 SA” for 13 consecutive years
With a bang, we have started 2018, by being awarded by "Top SA Wine" for the following wines:
- Two Chardonnays in Top 10: Nine Yards Chardonnay & Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

Jordan Wine Estate has ranked among the leading producers since the first SA Wine & Cellar Classification in 2004 and is one of four estates – Jordan, Kanonkop, Rustenberg and Vergelegen – included among the Top Cape Cellars 13 years ago that continue to rank among the Top 20 in 2018.
The SA Wine & Cellar Classifications looks at all of the top South African Wineries and wines over the past 10 years, including the very best in each class. Ten years’ tasting results, the best track records, involving the top tasting panels in over 30 local and international forums for the assessment – a pooling of expert opinions about South African wines as reviewed around the globe.

2017 saw Jordan Wine Estate celebrate 25 years of winemaking success and 35 years since the Jordan family started developing this property, situated in the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley.
The consistent efforts of the Jordan winemaking team to produce wines of quality and excellence, have culminated in the well-deserved international recognition garnered for their wines over the 25 years.
In 1999, 23 year old Sjaak Nelson joined Gary and Kathy Jordan and became an integral part of their winemaking team, starting as the Warehouse Manager and progressing to the position of Head Winemaker.
